You must have the Dance Party update and have completed the Teenagers quest to be able to take part in this limited time hobby event.
This event is only around for 7 days and will unlock prom clothes for your teen Sims. This event is entered around the Fashion Design hobby and to collect all of the 8 different prizes available you must complete the Fashion Design hobby collection 8 times within the 7 days. So you win one prize each time you complete the hobby collection.
When this event becomes available to you, you will get a pop up in your town asking if you want to begin the event. You can click on YES or NO. If you click YES the event will begin and your Fashion Design hobby collection will be reset and if you click NO you can always start the event later on from the goal tab but the time limit will have started.
Now the event has begun and you need to complete the Fashion Design hobby 8 times before the time runs out.
How to complete in time
Have as many Sims as you can spare working on it.
Build a special workers room in one house and have 10 Fashion Design Studios with 10 Sims working on the hobby.
You must have had one Sim reach level 6 in the Fashion Design hobby to be able to discover all the designs.
Complete the 10 minute option over and over again as you will discover more designs this way.
Click on the 'START NEW COLLECTION' button on the fashion hobby collection list each time you collect of of the pieces in the hobby and completed the grid.
Don't give up - you will get lots of repeats!! But you will eventually get all the ones you need to complete the collection.
The prizes can be found in the wardrobe under the male and female teenage Sims.
There are 7 Prom King and Queen outfits in various colours
Followed by 8 different colours of prom outfits for your male and female Sims
The Sims Freeplay Dance Party update is here and with it is a new live event - the Party Time Event. (Pack sure you've downloaded the latest game version to gain access to this event) This event is here for 8 days and the aim is the collect enough arts and craft items from the arts and crafts stations (which can be bought in the event tab of the home store) to unlock all the items.
If you have completed a similar event using the arts and crafts stations then your stations will either be where you left them or in your inventory. You will only be able to use the candle stations to begin with until you unlock the other stations.
You will get a pop up when you first update your game - click 'Start Collecting' to start the event.
When you start the event there will be a short tutorial to guide you through what to do. Follow along with what each pop up task says and if you get stuck re-read the task as it tells you exactly what to do.
There are 4 different arts and crafts you can collect and 4 different stations - candle, pottery, jewellery and glassware. When you start the quest you will need to place the candle stations. You can only buy 4 so place them down and get to work starting to collect them as soon as you can.
Going through the tutorial you will collect enough candles to unlock the first prize on the prize progress bar. The first prize is the archway entrance and you will need 50 candles to unlock it. At the top left of your screen is small dance icon that you click on to access the progress bar and the daily goals information.
All of the arts and crafts stations need to be restocked - during the tutorial you can restock for 2 uses but after the tutorial and through the event it will take 2 hours 30 minutes to restock for 9 uses or you can spend 10SP and restock for 18 uses which completes instantly.
Here is the progress bar showing all the prizes you can win during this event. It runs from left to right, top to bottom. You will win the ability to unlock different prizes as well as winning constructor coins (needed to unlock the prizes) and unlocking the different arts and crafts stations. As soon as you unlock the different craft stations I recommend you place them down and get working on collecting as soon as possible.
You can see at the bottom right the grand prize for completing the event is a party house which contains some exclusive items.
You need to use a coin flower patch (which can be bought from the events tab of the home store) to win constructor coins.
There are also daily goals that you can complete to win constructor coins and candles. Remember to try and claim all of these each day to boost your constructor coins.
When the Sims are using the arts and crafts stations they will collect bonus items. The item will appear in a bubble above their head. Make sure you go into your game as often as possible to collect these bonus items.

This event is in Sims Freeplay from 17 April for 7 days
You will need the Easter update of the game in order to start this event.
To get all 9 new hairstyles you need to complete the fashion designer hobby collection 9 times. Each time you complete the hobby you will unlock one new hairstyle. You will keep all the hairstyles you unlock even if you don't unlock them all and Sims Freeplay brings this event back occasionally and you will be able to start from where you left off the last time (i.e. if you locked 5 hairstyles last time, you keep the 5 hairstyles and only need to unlock the remaining 4 this time) If you completed this event the last time it was in the game it will not appear again for you.
This event is based around the Fashion Designer hobby and you will need to get at least one Sim to level 6 in this hobby to complete the event.
When you get the pop up to say the event has started you need to accept it and the fashion design hobby will reset.
If you don't click yes for whatever reason you can start the event from the goal tab.
Once you have clicked yes you have 7 days to complete the fashion design hobby 9 times to win each of the hairstyles.
You need to complete all 4 rows (12 fashion pieces) to get one hairstyle
Tips to complete this event in 7 days
Have as many Sims as you can spare working on it
