By completing this event you will unlock cheerleader outfits which are pretty great and definitely worth trying to complete in time for.
Throughout the hobby you will unlock different rooms in Downtown High so the first time you complete the hobby, at the beginning, you will only have one room available to you, then two and so on until you unlock all the rooms by filling the hobby grid with hobby collectibles.
The first room available to you gives you the option of English Clown - 3 hours 30 mins. You need to find the 3 different collectibles/class clown actions in the English room to unlock the Home Economics room. Then you need to find the 3 different collectibles/class clown actions in the Home Economics room to unlock the Computer Lab. Then you need to find the 3 different collectibles/class clown actions in the Computer Lab to unlock the Science Lab. Then you need to find the 3 different collectibles/class clown actions in the Science Lab to fill the hobby grid and complete the hobby.
The options in the various different rooms are:
- English Clown - 3 hrs 30 mins
- HomeEc Clown - 3 hrs 30 mins
- Computer Lab Clown - 3 hrs 30 mins
- Science Lab Clown - 3 hrs 30 mins
You can only have one sim in each of the rooms so the first time you complete the Class Clown hobby and are still unlocking the rooms you can only have 1 sim taking part in your town and one sim at a neighbours town if they have built Downtown High. After you have unlocked all the rooms you can have a sim in each room taking part in the hobby.
You do level up in this hobby as you do with all hobbies but slightly different from other hobbies the level of your sim doesn't matter, all that matters is what room they are in. When you finish one row of collectibles you unlock the ability to collect the collectibles from the next row.
Here are the levels of the Class Clown hobby and the rewards you receive:
- level 1 - Novice Agitator
- level 2 - Junior Jester - 250XP
- level 3 - Commensurate Comedian - 500XP
- level 4 - Experienced Buffoon - S750
- level 5 - Veteran Vaudevillian - 10,000 town value
- level 6 - Elite Disruptor - 1LP
As with all hobbies you're going to get repeats and there is nothing you can do about it. You just need to keep trying. You can use the lucky spin for LP on the row where you can't find something if you want but personally I think it's far too expensive and there's no guarantee you will get the collectible you need. Just keep going and you'll get there eventually.
Once you have completed the collection you need to click 'start new collection' to clear the hobby grid and start collecting the collectibles again and earn more rewards.
To complete the hobby you must collect all 12 collectibles and if you complete it within the time limit you will win the cheerleading outfits. They are available for adult and teenage sims and can be found in the outfit section of the wardrobe. There are 6 male and 6 female outfits. You can also find pom moms at the sports field that your sims can interact with.
The first time you complete the Class Clown hobby you will unlock the second floor of Downtown High
The second and any future times you complete the hobby you will win 2LP.
