Raiders of the Lost Artifacts quest is a main quest within Sims Freeplay which means all previous quests must have been completed before this becomes available.
The quest is unlocked at level 10 and it introduces you to mysterious island and how to use the monuments on the island. If you complete the quest within the 2 day time limit you will win a treasure chest full of LP, artefacts, XP and more.

Go to the mysterious island - click on the bridge
Tap on a monument - click on either the rock, water, air or fire
Read big book of stuff - 21 hrs 30 mins (can be started early)
Leftover from a fridge - 18 secs
Search for artefacts in the garbage - 8 mins 30 secs (kick over the trash can first)
Find the third artefact (you get them at random by baking, gardening and using objects) TIP : have a shower for 6 secs - something quick
Upgrade the riches of terra to level 1 - (rock monument)
QUEST IS COMPLETE
You now have access to the mysterious island and the monuments on the island
Prize
The prize for completing this quest within the time limit is a treasure chest full of goodies. You will get 3000XP plus the artefacts shown in the picture.
The treasure chest is found on mysterious island over to the left and can only be collected once.
The next quest is Need for Steed which unlocks the stables on the island and horses.

Why can't I start this quest?
As this is a main quest you need to complete all the previous quests (full list of main quests can be found here) and be level 10 or above before this quest becomes unlocked for you.
Can I complete this quest even though I am passed level 10?
You can complete this quest at any level on or after level 10. As long as you have completed the previous quests, this quest will pop up automatically for you.
Why do blue footprints appear when I try to use an item?
This happens when your Sim can't access the item. To solve this you either need to rotate the item so the little arrow has a blank space in front of it or move an item that has been placed in front of the item you want to use.
What does it mean that a goal can be started early?
Throughout Sims Freeplay some tasks within quests can be started before the actual task comes up for you. This is useful as you progress through the game and the time limits become harder to achieve. For this method to work put your Sim completing the action in a house you're not using and begin the task. You can not go back in to that house until the task comes up other this method won't work.
How do I visit the island?
Click on the bridge at the top of your Sim Town map and this will take you to the island.
Where is the third artefact?
Artefacts are found at random by completing actions in the game. I have found artefacts by doing many different actions so I would suggest to do a quick action such as taking a shower or planting peppers. If you don't find one the first time jut keep trying - it won't be long until you find the artefact.
How long does it take to upgrade the riches of terra monument?
It completes instantly once you click on the monument and click upgrade.

Nope, Ne, Non, No! This is a main quest and you MUST complete each main quest before you can move onto the next.
