Preparing for Preteens quest is a main quest within Sims Freeplay which means all previous quests must have been completed before this becomes available.
This quest has no time limit so I would suggest that you relax a little and take your time completing this quest and maybe try to earn some simoleons and build up your LPs.
You will need a toddler to be able to complete this quest so you will need to age up a baby.
Please remember that all items have either a 1,2 or 3 star rating and the time tasks take depend upon the star rating of the item

Build SimTown Elementary - price and time varies
Purchase a study desk - S700 (don't buy early)
Purchase a preteen bookshelf - S4,000 (don't buy early)
Read Harriet Putter - 4 hrs (preteen bookshelf)
Read Everything You Need to Know - 1 day (preteen bookshelf)
Buy a preteen bed - (don't buy early)
Buy a trampoline - S3,000 (don't buy early)
Celebrate trampoline - 4 hrs
Make Cheese on Toast - 1 min
Watch a movie - 1 hr 40 mins (can be started early)
Talk to thinking man statue - 1 day
Be rude to the thinking man - 1 day
Play Sims on computer - 48 mins (can be started early)

Version Two

Ask advice from thinking man statue - 1 day 30 mins
Be rude to the thinking man - 1 min 12 secs
Play Sims on computer - 48 mins (can be started early)
QUEST IS COMPLETE
You can now age toddler into preteens.
You can also now adopt preteens from a phone. This will cost real money.

Why can't I start this quest?
You need to complete all the previous quests and be at level 14 or above before this quest becomes unlocked for you.
Can I complete this quest even though I am passed level 14?
You can complete this quest at any level on or after level 14. As long as you have completed the previous quests, this quest will pop up automatically for you.
Why are there two versions of this quest?
The developers have updated some of the quests over time so some quests have 2 versions as the devs haven't changed the quests on all devices.
Why do blue footprints appear when I try to use an item?
This happens when your Sim can't access the item. To solve this you either need to rotate the item so the little arrow has a blank space in front of it or move an item that has been placed in front of the item you want to use.
Can I build the elementary school early?
No, it's only available to build once the task comes up in the quest.
Do I have to buy the preteen item it's asking me to buy again if I already own it?
Yes, even if you own any of the items you will have to buy them again.
How do I make cheese on toast?
You need to have a stove and a toaster at your house to cook cheese on toast. Click on either the toaster or the stove and select cheese on toast from the cooking option.
Can I just skip this quest? I don't really like it!
Nope! This is a main quest and you MUST complete each main quest before you can move onto the next.
Why are some of the times different on my game?
Each item has a star rating - 1,2 or 3 stars. The higher the star rating of the item you are using, the quicker it will be to complete a task.
